Terminiello Announces At-Large Candidacy
for Revere City Council
Albert J. “Al” Terminiello, Jr. of Eastern Avenue today officially announced his candidacy for the Revere City Council for the position of councilor-at-large.
Terminiello is a life-long Revere resident, and has been active in numerous fraternal, civic and business organizations within the city.
Candidate Terminiello said that he would focus his City Council efforts on increasing public safety for all residents, ensuring that there is proper assistance for Revere senior citizens, building a strong educational foundation – both inside and outside of the classroom – for all Revere youths, and supporting our veterans, through services and specially designed programs, and if needed financial assistance.
“I love Revere because we are a great city that is comprised of hard-working, caring and compassionate people,” Terminiello said. “I want to take us past ‘blame-game’ politics and focus on fixing the problems that impact our citizens. My first priority is to make city government accountable to all taxpayers whose hard-earned money sustains city services.”
Terminiello is active with the Revere Chamber of Commerce, where he is a member of the board of directors and an Honored Past President. As president, he organized a fundraiser to place a “Welcome to Revere” sign at Brown Circle that featured the slogan “Home of America’s First Public Beach.”
He is a member of the Revere Kiwanis Club, the Revere League for Special Needs, the Revere Community Media Center (RCMC), where he is the co-vice chairman of the board of directors, and co-founder and co-vice chairman of the Revere Veterans Committee. He is also an officer in the Revere Auxiliary Police Department, and is a member of the Revere CARES Memorial Committee.
He is twice Past Master of the Robert Lash Lodge AF&AM of Chelsea, and is a past member of the Shriner’s Aleppo Temple in Wilmington.
From 1993 to the present, Terminiello has been a professional news photographer for Revere area news publications, covering local news, sports, political and social activities. He is currently lead staff photographer for the award-winning BCGroup, a full service artist management, public and government relations company.
Candidate Terminiello attended New England Institute of Anatomy and Mortuary Sciences, graduating in 1974, and was licensed as an embalmer in 1975. He was employed at several local funeral homes. He worked as an investigator/photographer, and family liaison with the Suffolk County (North) Medical Examiner’s Office from 1972-1980. Al was then employed by the Siemens/Nixdorf Corporation as a senior field engineer until 1993.
Terminiello is a 1971 graduate of Revere High School, and he earned the rank of Eagle Scout in 1967 as a member of the St. Anthony’s Parish Boy Scout Troop #5.
He is the son of Barbara (Frye) and Albert Terminiello, Sr. of Revere; partner of Rose (Speranza) Pellegrino of Revere; father of Jennifer L. Terminiello of Revere and Jodi D’Angelo of Woburn; and the grandfather of four – Ashley, Anthony, Samantha and Dominic.
